An original cocktail with a slightly peaty aroma that perfectly combines whisky with the lemon note of So Sour. Method: Shaken / Glass: Rocks glass / Garnish: Candied Ginger

Ingredients

  • 40 ml blended Scotch whisky
  • 10 ml Islay Single Malt Whisky
  • 40 ml so sourBuy now instead of lemon juice
  • 20 ml honey-ginger syrup

Recipe steps

  • Add the blended Scotch whisky, Islay Single Malt Whisky, So Sour, and honey-ginger syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. (Note: The traditional Penicillin recipe shakes the first three ingredients and then floats the Islay whisky on top of the finished drink.)
  • Shake well until thoroughly chilled.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a piece of candied ginger.
